"It is not my intention to do away

Gas Pump
Rip-offs!
This happened to me, and it
ticked me OFF! How many
times have you actually
checked to see if the gas you
paid for was priced at the
pump correctly? Like
NEVER?? Me too. But I have
to tell you, it's time we keep
an eye on service dealers!
Here's a simple way to make
sure you get the gas you've
paid for.

Put in
exactly 10 gallons of
gas
. Is it EXACTLY 10 times
the amount of the price per
gallon? If not, you're being
ripped off.
10 gallons of gas at $3.55
9/10 yields a price of $35.59
for example.

They suggest calling the
Florida Agriculture
Department, but all they'll do
is fine the company and
you're still out money.
Personally, I'm calling the
Police or calling my attorney
and pressing charges as
this is nothing more than
greed, stealing and theft
from consumers and I've
had it! Enough is enough!

Summer Time Reminders of Safety When Grilling Out
Submitted by the Kissimmee Fire Department

Annually more than 8,000 Americans are injured by fireworks and grill fires. More than half these injuries occur during the first week of July.
The U.S. Fire Administration's National Fire Data Center estimates that outdoor grills cause more than 6,000 fires, five or more fatalities,
170+ injuries, and $35 million in property loss each year. Gas grills alone cause in excess of 2,700 fires, 80 injuries, and $11 million dollars
in damage. Most of the gas grill fires and explosions were caused by gas leaks, blocked tubes, and overfilled propane tanks.

Practicing the following fire safety tips will help everyone have a safe summer:
Barbecue Safety
Before using a grill, check the connection between the propane tank and the fuel line. Make sure the venturi tubes - where the air and gas
mix - are not blocked.
Do not overfill the propane tank.
Do not wear loose clothing while cooking at a barbecue.
Be careful when using lighter fluid.
Do not add fluid to an already lit fire because the flames can flashback up into the container and explode.
Keep all matches and lighters away from children.
Teach your children to report any loose matches or lighters to an adult immediately. Supervise children (and pets) around outdoor grills.
Dispose of hot coals properly - douse them with plenty of water, and stir them to ensure that the fire is out. Never place them in plastic, paper
or wooden containers.
Never grill/barbecue in enclosed areas - carbon monoxide could be produced.
Make sure everyone knows to Stop, Drop and Roll in case a piece of clothing does catch fire.
Dial 9-1-1 or your local emergency number if a burn warrants serious medical attention.
For more information about safety, please call the Kissimmee Fire Department’s Fire and Life Safety Hot line at 407.518.2585 or send an e-
mail to
LifeSafety@kissimmee.org
